Outer Sleeve
_______________________________________
•The outer-sleeve can be rigid or flexible.
Rigid
• With a rigid outer-sleeve/outer-casing installed,
the rollers are held in parallel even under the most extreme torsional loads.
If a rigid-sleeve is to function as a driven part,
then springy outer-bands are used to make proper contact
with the inner surface of the sleeve.
If a rigid-sleeve is not driven, then outer-bands are NOT needed.
Flexible
• A flexible outer-sleeve can be used in situations
such as when using a ScrollerWheel as a track-wheel to protect the inner-bands.
